Ukraine Received the Final Tranche of USD 4.5 billion Grant From the United States Through the Trust Fund of the World Bank

The State Budget of Ukraine received a grant in the amount of USD 1.5 billion.

This is the final tranche of the USD 4.5 billion grant, which was provided by the United States of America through the Trust Fund of the World Bank as part of the project Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance (PEACE).

"We are grateful to the Government of the United States of America and the World Bank team for their long-term cooperation, financial support, and solidarity with Ukraine. These grant funds are a significant contribution to the financing of urgent needs of our country. This will allow continuing to ensure the payment of wages, social and pension payments, and assistance for internally displaced persons in the conditions of the fight against the aggressor," said Minister of Finance Sergii Marchenko.

The specified grant funds will be directed to reimbursement of costs incurred by the budget to ensure pension payments and certain programs of state social assistance, such as payment of housing and communal services, support of low-income families, children with disabilities and disabled from childhood, IDPs, etc.

Ukraine is implementing a joint project with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA) Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance (PEACE) in Ukraine for a total amount of USD 7.3 billion. 

Since the beginning of russia's military aggression, the United States of America has already provided Ukraine with USD 8.5 billion grants with the assistance of the World Bank.
