ESG Performance

Like the other UN Member States, Ukraine joined the global process of sustainable development.

A participatory and inclusive process to adopt the Sustainable Development Goals to the Ukrainian context was launched to establish a national strategic framework for Ukraine till the year 2030 based on the principle ‘leave no one behind'. Each global goal has been revised to take into account the specifics of national development. The result of this work was a national system consisting of 86 tasks of National Sustainable Development Goals.

Ukraine is committed to climate action and environmental sustainability, aligned with international agreements and EU standards.

Key environmental priorities include:

  • implementation of Ukraine’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC)

  • reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 65% by 2030 (vs. 1990 levels)

  • integration of climate considerations into recovery and reconstruction planning

  • alignment with the EU Green Deal principles
