Ukraine will Receive up to GBP 21 million Loan from UK Export Finance Agency

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a draft resolution "On Government Foreign Borrowing in 2021 through a loan from the UK Export Finance Agency".

The implementation of the resolution allows the government to attract up to GBP 21 million from the UK Export Finance agency (UKEF) for the purchase of 4 million PCR test kits as part of the government's borrowings.

The loan is issued for 4 years.

The contract for the delivery of 4 million PCR test kits was concluded in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Her Majesty's Secretary of State through the United Kingdom Export Finance agency (UKEF). This agreement defines the general principles and preliminary terms of cooperation aimed at implementing projects that relate to British exports, in particular in such priority areas as defense and security, agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and healthcare.
