In July Banks Issued 357 Loans Totaling UAH 1.3 billion through State Guarantees on the Portfolio Basis

Within the program of support of micro, small and medium enterprises in Ukraine through the instrument of state guarantees on the portfolio basis from December 2020, banks issued 14,570 loans for the total amount of UAH 44.15 billion.

As of August 1, 2022, 26 lending banks are servicing 14,367 loans worth UAH 43.535 billion. 

Liabilities on principal debt partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis amounted to UAH 27.423 billion. It is about 78% of the total limit of guarantees in 2020 (UAH 35.014 billion).

At the same time in July this year, 357 loans totaling UAH 1.294 billion were issued with a state guarantee of UAH 669 billion.

JSC "Privatbank" is the leader in the number of loans issued with 9,648 loans for a total of UAH 13.636 billion, which is almost 86% of the limit of such guarantees issued by the bank in 2020. JSC "Oschadbank" has the second-largest amount of loans in the portfolio: 2,107 loans for a total amount of UAH 7.025 billion (81% of the limit). 

The biggest demand for the program is in the Odesa region, where 1,058 loans of a total amount of UAH 3.376 billion were issued. In Kirovohrad there were issued 748 loans (UAH 3.152 billion), the Dnipropetrovsk region - 1,298 loans (UAH 2.936 billion), and in Kyiv - 699 loans of UAH 2.8 billion.

The largest number of loans by type of economic activity, partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis, were issued in agriculture (7,167) for UAH 30.809 billion, wholesale and retail trade (4,324) for UAH 6.491 billion, and processing industry (1,087) for UAH 3.739 billion.
