Ukraine received the fourth tranche of a large-scale EU Macro-Financial Assistance in the amount of EUR 1.5 billion

Today, on May 23, Ukraine received the fourth tranche of EUR 1.5 billion as part of a large-scale Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA) for 2023.

Thus, in 2023, the State Budget of Ukraine has already received EUR 7.5 billion in concessional funds from the EU. The total amount of funding under this program reaches EUR 18 billion.

The funds are provided on unprecedentedly concessional terms for Ukraine and are used to finance the priority expenditures of the State Budget.

"The concessional funds from our European Union partners, as part of the EU's Macro-Financial Assistance, allow us to finance our priority expenditures in a timely manner and in full, including to support Ukrainian citizens. The EU's financial assistance is a significant contribution to Ukraine's victory over the aggressor. I am grateful to my European colleagues for understanding the financial needs of the state, as well as for the timely and rhythmic provision of funds," said Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko.

The next tranches under the large-scale MFF program will be transferred to the State Budget in 2023, subject to Ukraine's performance of the conditions agreed upon by the parties.
