​First Deputy Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova has been appointed the acting Minister of Finance

At an extraordinary meeting on June 7, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed First Deputy Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova to take over the functions of the Minister of Finance of Ukraine.

On June 8, Oksana Markarova started to work in her new position.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman introduced interim Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova to the Ministry’s team, outlined the main tasks of the Ministry of Finance and wished the new leader of the Ministry to be patient and strong.

Oksana Markarova thanked the Prime Minister for his trust and assured that the Ministry of Finance will continue its operations in a proper way and will continue to implement reforms aimed to ensure the stability of the financial system.

Prior to that, Oleksandr Danyliuk had met his team as well and thanked the entire team of the Ministry of Finance for its well-coordinated work made in two years of his tenure as the Minister of Finance and wished the team to continue its effective work in the implementation of key reforms.
