Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko met with the top U.S. Diplomat for Ukraine George Kent

Today the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko met with the top U.S. Diplomat for Ukraine and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs George Kent.

The parties discussed the continuation of the program of cooperation with the IMF, the reform of state banks, the economic situation in Ukraine, tax initiatives under Law No. 5600.

"My key priority as Minister of Finance is to achieve continued cooperation with the IMF because I clearly understand how important Ukraine's participation in the program is. Now we are implementing the necessary amendments to the legislation, which is a condition for continued cooperation with the International Monetary Fund. At the same time, these changes are necessary, first of all, for Ukraine", - said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine.

The participants of the meeting declared about further cooperation for the development of relations between Ukraine and the USA. The USA representatives assured that they will continue to support Ukraine in the implementation of reforms to ensure its success on the European way.
