European Council Granted Ukraine Status Of Candidate for EU Membership

The European vector is enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine. Joining the EU and NATO is our country's foreign policy guidelines.

Ukraine's path to Europe began long before the war in Russia in 2014, which has now entered a stage of full-scale war invasion. This path is full of hopes, victories, pain, courageous struggle and work.

If we turn to history, the modern Ukrainian state is now in the process of reintegration into the family of European countries, in which Ukraine has its rightful place for centuries.

Thanks to its desire for freedom, commitment to the values of freedom and democracy, and the support of international partners, Ukraine today defends its statehood and territorial integrity while taking care of economic and financial stability, assistance and support of citizens.

The hard systemic work is ahead of us, and we will continue to move towards our choice and great goal - to become a member of the European Union in a reliable and equal partnership with friendly European countries.
